What to Expect
Trinity Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and the worship service follows The Lutheran Service Book published by Concordia Publishing House in 2006. We enjoy the services of 2 local organists, Penny Stevens and John Sperling. Our music is traditional with some contemporary Christian songs added at times.
The dress code at Trinity is informal. We’re pleased to see vacationers, visitors, and local residents spend some time in worship with us, so please come as you are.
We love children to come and worship, as well. We do have an established “Kid’s Room” for those who need it. A kid’s bag is also available with activities for younger children. Currently, there is also Kids' Church during the sermon every other week.
Trinity Lutheran celebrates Communion on the 1st, 3rd, & 5th Sundays of each month and our Communion practices are explained in the bulletin. Questions may be directed to the Pastor. During Communion, individual cups are offered in the tray with the purple cups in the center of the tray being non-alcoholic. If you prefer the Common Cup, raise a finger when the tray comes by and then Pastor will come by with the chalice.
Parking is on 2 sides of the building with 2 reserved spots for visitors. The main entrance is on the East side of the building beneath the bell tower.
You will be greeted as you enter the narthex and a bulletin will be handed to you. There is also a table in the hallway, connecting the narthex and the fellowship hall, that supplies Portals of Prayer devotions and other current materials.
You may sit anywhere in the church. The order of service can be followed in the Lutheran Service Book or followed in the bulletin. Following the church service will be announcements and the Pastor will ask if there are visitors who would like to introduce themselves and where they are from. After dismissal, the congregation moves to the Fellowship Hall for coffee and refreshments. Please feel free to join us!
